There is no menu line called foot massage at High Stone, and no foot spa. Reflexology is the foot service, and it starts at $45 for 30 minutes.

The other half of the answer is that a Full Body Massage does include your feet, but only as part of a pass over the whole body. So the decision is simple. If your feet are the reason you are coming in, book reflexology. If your feet are one item on a longer list, book the massage and tell your therapist to spend extra time down there.

Below: what each involves, what they cost, and an honest account of what reflexology can and cannot do.

What reflexology actually is

Reflexology is pressure-point work. Your therapist works with thumbs and knuckles across the soles, arches, heels and toes, point by point, and usually the ankles and lower legs too. It is slower and more specific than a massage. Instead of long gliding strokes, you get sustained pressure on one small area, then the next.

It should feel firm. Some points are tender, particularly across the arch and around the heel, and that tenderness usually fades under steady pressure rather than sharpening. It should never be something you brace against. Say so if it is, and the pressure comes down.

The traditional idea behind reflexology is that points on the feet correspond to other parts of the body. That is the framing the practice grew out of, and it is worth being straight about the evidence: high-quality research showing reflexology changes a medical condition is limited. What research does more consistently point to is relaxation, and how settled people report feeling afterwards. That is a real thing, and it is what we will promise. Anything beyond it, we will not.

Plenty of locals still know us as High Stone Reflexology, which is what the practice was called before the menu grew into massage, facials and wellness therapies.

Where your feet fit into a full body massage

A Full Body Massage is the line most people mean when they say deep tissue. It covers back, shoulders, neck, arms, legs and feet, with the therapist working through in sequence. On a 60-minute session, your feet realistically get a few minutes at the end unless you ask for more.

You can ask for more. Tell your therapist at the start that feet are the priority and they will rebalance the hour. What you cannot get is an hour of specific, point-by-point foot work inside a full body session, because there is a whole body to cover. If you want firmer work generally, deep-tissue pressure is a $10 to $15 add-on on a Full Body Massage.

What a foot massage in Flower Mound actually costs

Here is the part that surprises people. At our Flower Mound spa, the two services cost almost exactly the same. Thirty minutes is $45 either way. Forty-five minutes is $59.99 either way. At sixty minutes, reflexology is $79.99 and a Full Body Massage is $80. One cent apart. Price is not the deciding factor here, which is rather the point.

Flower Mound

Reflexology

Full Body Massage

Where the work happens

Feet, plus ankles and lower legs

Whole body, feet as part of the pass

How it feels

Firm, specific, point by point

Longer strokes, broader pressure

Book it when

Your feet are why you are here

You are tight in several places

30 minutes

$45

$45

45 minutes

$59.99

$59.99

60 minutes

$79.99

$80

90 minutes

Not on the menu

$110.99

Prices run higher at our Colleyville spa, where both services are $55 for 30 minutes and $100 for 60. The full lists, including combo reflexology and medical reflexology, are on the Flower Mound price list, and the front desk will tell you what each of those includes.

If feet are a monthly habit, the numbers shift again. Membership starts at $66.99 a month, and that credit can go towards a 60-minute feet reflexology, a combo reflexology, a 60-minute full body massage or a classic facial. Against $79.99 for a single hour, it pays for itself in month one. Credits roll over and are shareable with immediate family. The terms are a three-month minimum commitment, member discounts apply while your membership is active, and if you cancel, remaining credits stay redeemable for 45 days.

Which one should you book?

You stand or walk all day at work. Reflexology, 45 or 60 minutes. Thirty takes the edge off, but the longer sessions are where the arches and heels get unhurried attention.

Your feet ache but so does your back. Full Body Massage, and say at the start that you want extra time on the feet.

You have half an hour. Reflexology at 30 minutes, $45. It is the most concentrated half hour on the menu, because nothing is shared with the rest of the body.

You want both in one visit. The location menus list a combo reflexology session, and The Ultimate Stress-Melting Experience is $160 for a 60-minute shirodhara plus 30 minutes of reflexology.

So what about a foot spa?

People search for a foot spa expecting a soak, a scrub and a chair. We do not have a line called that. The closest is the Rejuvenation Retreat, $225, which includes a full-body massage, a foot scrub, sauna time and a customized facial. Both of the longer signature packages are the way to turn a foot appointment into an afternoon.

If what you want is simply the feet, without the rest, book the reflexology and skip the package. There is no upgrade you are missing.

When feet are more than tired

There is a line between feet that are worn out and feet that are telling you something. Numbness, burning, pins and needles, a heel that is sharp on the first step in the morning, swelling on one side only, or pain that has not shifted in weeks belongs with your physician or a podiatrist first. Book that appointment, not this one.

Once you have, there is a place for foot work alongside what they are doing. Our neuropathy care initial visit is 45 minutes for $37, and the full menus list a medical reflexology session, which has its own monthly membership at $71.99. Bring whatever your doctor has told you to the intake form and we will work inside it.

To say it plainly: reflexology and massage here support relaxation and general wellbeing. They are complementary care, not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment. If you are pregnant or managing a medical condition, check with your physician before booking and tell us what they said.

Frequently asked questions

Is reflexology the same thing as a foot massage?

Not quite. A foot massage, in the everyday sense, is any pleasant work done on the feet. Reflexology is a specific technique: sustained pressure applied point by point across the soles, arches, heels and toes. At High Stone it is the service you book when your feet are the reason you are coming in, because there is no separate foot massage line.

Does reflexology hurt?

It should feel firm rather than painful. Some points are tender, especially through the arch, and most people find the tenderness settles as the pressure is held. If something sharpens instead of easing, or you catch yourself holding your breath, say so. Pressure is adjustable at any point and nobody expects you to tough it out.

How long should I book for my feet?

Thirty minutes at $45 is a real session and enough for most people, especially first time. Forty-five minutes at $59.99 is the sweet spot if you are on your feet for work, because it leaves room to go back over whatever needed it. Sixty minutes is $79.99 at Flower Mound and $100 at Colleyville.

Can I get my feet and the rest of me done in one visit?

Yes, in a few ways. The location menus list a combo reflexology session. You can book a Full Body Massage and ask for extra time on the feet. Or take The Ultimate Stress-Melting Experience at $160, a 60-minute shirodhara with 30 minutes of reflexology. Call (972) 539-1388 if you would like help choosing between them.

Does reflexology actually work?

For relaxation, and for how your feet feel afterwards, guests tell us it does, consistently, across more than ten years of caring for DFW. Beyond that, the honest answer is that the evidence is thin. We do not claim reflexology addresses medical conditions, and we would be wary of anyone who does.

Thirty minutes, $45, and your feet get the whole appointment. Book reflexology online, or call (972) 539-1388 and tell the front desk how long you are on your feet each day. They will tell you which length to pick.

There is no foot massage line on our menu and no foot spa: reflexology is the foot service, from $45 for 30 minutes.
